Application – Speakers‘ Night 2024

The annual Speakers‘ Night is a well-loved public speaking contest for scholarship holders at the European Forum Alpbach. For more than 15 years, Club Alpbach Styria has organized the event as a platform for bright young minds to showcase their oratorical skills on the big stage. This provides the ideal opportunity for YOU to present your ideas and perspectives to a larger audience while receiving valuable feedback from a distinguished panel of jurors. Also, great prizes await the winners!

The theme of this year’s edition is:

Truth or Dare

Scholarship holders interested in entering the contest as a speaker are kindly invited to submit their speech proposal on the above topic by filling out the application form below until 19:30 (7:30 p.m.) on Thursday, 22 August.

Applicants selected for participation will be notified shortly thereafter and will have the opportunity to attend a preparatory online workshop on Saturday, 24 August from 14:30 to 16:15 noon. Finally, the three-minute speeches are delivered live on stage at the 18^th annual Speakers‘ Night on Sunday, 25 August, at 20:15 (8:15 p.m.), where a panel of judges will assess the contestants‘ performances and select a winner. In addition, anyone who prefers to attend the event as a spectator gets to cast a vote for their favorite speech in the Alpbach Audience Award.
