Application – Speakers‘ Night 2025

The annual Speakers‘ Night is a well-loved public speaking contest for scholarship holders at the European Forum Alpbach. For more than 15 years, Club Alpbach Steiermark has organized the event as a platform for bright young minds to showcase their oratorical skills on the big stage. This provides the ideal opportunity for YOU to present your ideas and perspectives to a larger audience while receiving valuable feedback from a distinguished panel of jurors. Also, great prizes await the winners!

The theme of this year’s edition is:

Echoes of Tomorrow

Scholarship holders interested in entering the contest as a speaker are kindly invited to submit their speech proposal on the above topic by filling out the application form below until 

Thursday, 21 August at 17:00 (5:00 p.m.)

Applicants selected for participation will be notified shortly thereafter and will have the opportunity to attend a preparatory workshop on Saturday, 23 August from 14:00 to 16:00 noon. There you will also get final essential information about the event day.

Finally, the three-minute speeches are delivered live on stage at the 19th annual Speakers‘ Night on Sunday, 24 August, at 20:15 (8:15 p.m.), where a panel of judges will assess the contestants‘ performances and select a winner. As a speaker, please make sure to be ready already at 19:00 (7 p.m.) 

In addition, anyone who prefers to attend the event as a spectator gets to cast a vote for their favorite speech in the Alpbach Audience Award.
